SLEEPING BEAUTY


Once upon a time, there lived a king and queen. One day, the queen gave bird to a baby girl. They named the baby Aurora. The king and queen had feast for the baby. They invited their friend and fairies. But, the queen forgot to invite one fairy. Every body was having good time. Finally, it was time for the fairies to give their blessing. They blessed her with every good thing in life.
Suddenly, the forgotten fairy entered the room. She looked very angry. Instead of blessing the child, she cursed the child. She cried out, “the king’s daughter will be killed by a spindle when she is fifteen”. Fortunately, there was one fairy left. She had not given her blessing yet. The fairy said,” she will not dead. But she will sleep for a hundred years”.

The king ordered every spindle in the country should be burned. He hoped his daughter would never touch spindle. Today, Aurora turned fifteen. Her parents were not home. She went to the old tower. When she opened the door, she found an old woman working with spindle. Aurora never saw spindle before. So, she asked woman about it. The woman even let her touch her spindle. As soon as, Aurora touched the spindle every human being and animal fell asleep too.

Soon the place was surrounded by giant plants. The place couldn’t be seen any more. But the words about Aurora’s beauty spread all over the word. Many princesses tried to set free her, but no one could go through the place, because of the plants.

One hundred years latter. A handsome prince tried his luck. Now, the cursed had gone. The prince got through the place easily. Inside the tower, he found Aurora. The prince kissed her hand. Suddenly, Aurora opened her eyes. She was awake now. Every body was awake . the curse was gone. Soon, the prince married Aurora. They lived happily ever after.
